Our Journey

Happy Cider Thanksgiving!
Delicious cider pairs well with delicious pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving!

Whodunit?
Is this the culprit who trespassed and left destruction on Kristof Farms in its wake?

Conversation & Community
Let’s build a club community where we hope to share perspectives and questions about some of the events going on in this world.

Friend or foe?
You can’t order bears or eagles from us, but wild neighbors are a part of our farm. Believe us, they have free range to roam here on Kristof Farms at the edge of the Willamette Valley.

It’s harvest time!
Our harvest is in! The bears and deer are sulking, because we’ve snatched our cider apples and Pinot Noir grapes from their jaws. The grapes are now on their way to becoming wine. And the apples are headed to the fermenting tanks and in the process of becoming delicious cider that goes into our Cider Club!

Drink, Talk, Thrive: Announcing our new cider club
We’re launching a new Cider club — pairing our delicious cider with virtual conversation with the Kristof Family. Cider is much more enjoyable with conversation. So drink, talk, thrive and check out our new Cider Club.

The Color of Glass
We just bottled our first wines, a milestone in our re-invention of Kristof Farms. The farm has been in our family for more than half a century, but we only decided to plant grapes in 2018, and wine – it takes time. Our first grape harvest was in 2022, and the grapes have been fermenting in tanks since then under the supervision of our maestro, Adam Campbell, a neighbor who runs Elk Cove Vineyard.
Sheryl and Nick dropped by for the bottling of Kristof Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines at Elk Cove. Read about it here.

The Shape of Trees
Friends who come to the farm sometimes are puzzled by wooden slats in our apple trees holding the branches out.

Bloom is bustin’ out all over
Bloom is a key moment for grapes, when they self-pollinate, and it means that the harvest will be 110 days away. We had a bit of a scare when it rained all day on the 5th day of bloom.
