Half Case of Pinot Noir
Wine Enthusiast called it a "Dazzling Debut" and chose our Pinot Noir for its Cellar Selection! This rich Pinot Noir, the first vintage from Kristof Farms, just enthralls. It conjures dark fruit such as plum and blackberry with notes of pepper, violets and exotic spices, along with a hint of nutmeg. It has a delightful freshness on the palate. This production was selectively made from the finest 5 acres of vines in our Pinot Noir vineyard and aged in top quality French oak barrels for 10 months. It is ready to enjoy now but will also continue to mature over time in your wine cellar.
Michael Alberty wrote in The Oregonian wine review: “The medium-bodied wine is nice and smooth, with silky tannins and crisp acidity. The wine’s aromas of blackberries, Italian prune plums and sweet hyacinth are a perfect introduction to a flavor that reminds me of a marionberry scone fresh out of the oven.”
Paul Gregutt at Northwest Wine Guide said: “Aromatically enticing, this debut vintage suggests great things ahead for this estate…It’s a wine you dive into, swim through, breathe in and explore. The vineyard is young and the wine is young, but there already is a lot to love.”
