Introducing: discounted shipping, Pet-Nat cider, and PNW locals club

We have a lot to give thanks for. We’re especially grateful for our friends—near and far—who have supported our cider adventures. We’re excited to share three new reasons to gift cider this holiday season!

discounted shipping, Pet-Nat cider, and PNW locals club.

  • Nobody likes to pay for shipping, including us! Our sales client, Vinoshipper, calculates shipping automatically, and shipping prices have increased dramatically over the past year. This holiday season, we don’t want shipping to keep you from trying (or gifting) our delicious cider. That’s why we’re offering half-off shipping on orders of 6 bottles or more and free shipping on orders of 12 bottles. Discounts are applied at checkout. Ship cider today!

  • Verified residents of Oregon or Washington: Join our PNW locals club to receive local product pricing and updates. Remember: If you live in the area, our cider is always available (with no shipping costs) at The Place PDX (which also offers Portland-area delivery), Source Farms, and Park and Main. If you order through our website, you can select “pick up” at Bauman’s Cider in Gervais, Oregon. Bauman’s Cider also offers Salem and Portland-area local delivery. Industry professionals, please contact us to receive an industry discount. Join today!

  • Pétillant Natural Cider is a French term that means “naturally sparkling.” It is the oldest method of making naturally-sparkling wine. The process involves diverting the juice from our Orchard Cider to bottles before primary fermentation ends. As a result, carbon dioxide is released and trapped in the bottle to create a lovely natural carbonation.

We really think we hit the nail on the head with this one—it’s delightful and dry, with notes of pear and lychee. We made only sixty bottles this year (more to come next year!), and they are available only in our 2021 three-pack. As of writing this email, we have 15 three-packs remaining.

Let us know your thoughts by replying to this email or tagging us on social media!

With love, The Kristofs

P.S. Our 2021 Reserve Cider won “Double Gold” at Sip Magazine’s 11th Annual Northwest Cider Competition!  And earlier this year, at GLINTCAP, our Reserve Cider won Gold and our Orchard Cider won Best in Class.

We also received a certain recognition from the local fauna. When the apples were ripe, we were kept up at night by our guard dog, Connie (chief security officer at Kristof Farms), barking at bear and deer that managed to get through the fence and dine on our apples. Since we picked the apples, the bears have stayed away, and we get some rest. Yamhill bears have excellent taste!
