KF Book Club: March Book of the Month

We’re so excited to announce our first-ever Book of the Month!

This month, we’re reading The Women, by Kristin Hannah.

We suggest pairing this read with a bottle of Kristof Chardonnay (and some tissues). Get ready for a beautifully written coming-of-age story about a young woman who joins the war effort in the 1960’s, as part of the Army Nurse Corps and serves in Vietnam. While it’s the story of one woman gone to war, it shines a light on all women who put themselves in harm’s way, and whose sacrifice and commitment to their country are often forgotten.

This story will grip you and tear at your heartstrings, as you connect with her fears, heartbreaks, anger, and frustrations. You’ll also find within it the power of deep friendships and bold patriotism. The Women is a richly drawn story with a memorable heroine whose idealism and courage under fire will come to define an era.
