How to Make a Pinot Noir Margarita

Ingredients

For the Pinot Noir Syrup:

For the Margarita:

  • Margarita salt (for the rim)

  • 2 oz tequila blanco

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 1 oz Kristof Pinot Noir syrup (see recipe below)

  • 1/2 oz orange liqueur (we used Grand Monarch but any orange based liqueur will do)

  • Lime wedge or wheel (for garnish)

Step 1: Make the Pinot Noir Syrup

  1. Combine the Kristof Pinot Noir and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Stir occasionally, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil.

  3. Continue cooking until the liquid reduces by half (about 15 minutes).

  4. Allow the syrup to cool, then transfer to a heat-proof container and refrigerate. This recipe yields enough syrup for about four cocktails.

Step 2: Craft Your Margarita

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into margarita salt for a frosty finish.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, Kristof Pinot Noir syrup, and orange liqueur.

  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.

  4. Strain the cocktail into your prepared glass over fresh ice.

  5. Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel for the finishing touch.

  6. Enjoy!

With its vibrant color and complex flavor, the Pinot Noir Margarita is a crowd pleaser. Pair it with appetizers like guacamole or a charcuterie board to take your gathering to the next level.

Whether you're a wine lover, a cocktail enthusiast, or both, this recipe is a delicious way to celebrate the best of both worlds. Cheers! 🥂
