Apple Cider Granola

There’s granola and then there’s the kind of granola that makes all your other granola taste like you’re eating a box. And Kristof Farms Apple Cider Granola is that kind of granola. 🤤

It’s SO good that you may never be able to eat “regular” granola again.

And the best part is that it’s good for you too! It’s chock full of healthy ingredients like ground flax, hemp, and chia seeds. It’s deliciously textured and sweet yet filling. It’s been my go-to for breakfast each morning atop yogurt, sprinkled in smoothies, eaten by the handful, or on a spoon with a little peanut butter (anyone else?).

It’s been so popular in my house, I’m already working on my next batch!

If you’re ready to make the granola to end all other granolas, here’s what you’ll need:

  • 4 cups – rolled oats (not instant)

  • 1 cup – almonds (coarsely chopped)

  • 1/4 cup – flax seeds

  • 1/4 cup – hemp seeds

  • 1/4 cup – chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon – sea salt

  • 1 1/4 teaspoon – ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon – ground ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon – ground nutmeg

  • 1/2  cup – dark brown sugar (packed)

  • 1/2 cup – Kristof Orchard Cider

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons – pure maple syrup

  • 3 tablespoons – coconut oil

  • Dried fruit (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine the oats, almonds, flax, hemp seeds, chia seeds, salt, and spices in a large bowl. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, apple cider, honey, and coconut oil. Stir continuously until it just begins to boil, the coconut oil melts and the sugar dissolves (about 5 minutes). Pour wet mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well coated.

Spread evenly on a rimmed baking sheet, and bake for approximately 30 minutes. Stir the granola and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until the granola is golden brown. Allow it to cool completely on the baking sheet, then place into a large bowl and stir in any dried fruit of your choice!

Place in an airtight container at room temperature.

Hope you enjoy,

Jamie
